Directive principles of state policy under the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan

State policy under the 1973 Constitution were as followed

Muslims are free to live in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah

The state is responsible for the basic necessities of a person like Income, food, clothing, housing, education, health.

Promotion of social justice and removal of illiteracy

Discouragement of parochialism, tribalism, and racialism

Strengthening unity between Pakistan and Muslim countries

The Protection of legitimate rights and interests of non-Muslim minorities

The Protection of marriage, family, mother, and the child

Participation of woman in all spheres of law

Promotion of local government institutions

To eliminate interest (Riba or sood) system as early as possible

Participation in the Armed Forced of Pakistan is open for all.
