Why Nawaz Sharif was removed from the office in October, 1999?

Nawaz Sharif was removed from due to his conflict with Army In 1999 Pakistan Army under the leadership of General Pervaiz Musharraf launched an operation in Kargil without taking Prime Minister in trust. Both the personalities, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and General Pervaiz Musharraf held each other responsible for the Kargil issue. Similarly, the coup of 1999 was occurred due to the conflicted relations between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Pervaiz Musharraf.

In 1999 Pakistan Army under the leadership of General Pervaiz Musharraf launched an operation in Kargil without taking Prime Minister in trust. Both the personalities, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and General Pervaiz Musharraf held each other responsible for the Kargil issue. General Pervaiz Musharraf was on the way to Pakistan from Srilanka after paying his official tour. He was dismissed from his duties by Nawaz Sharif and General Zia-u-ddin Butt was appointed as Chief of Army.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ordered the plane carrying General Musharraf not to land in Karachi which caused quite a stir in the Army. The Army decided to secure General Musharraf and refused to follow the orders of the Prime Minister. The Army took control over the country and the government of Nawaz Sharif was dismissed.
